How it Works

Here's where you'll find information about the process of commissioning a visible mend from The Mending Outpost, including our Terms & Conditions, policies, and shipping related issues. If you have any questions just click on the button below to go to our Contact page where you can send us a message.

Useful Information and Guidelines

Designs

Designs of visible mends are a personal choice based on your preferences and the fabric and garment involved. We try our best to cater for your tastes but there are inevitably limits to what we can do.

The process starts with your answers to a short questionnaire which we will discuss with you and propose a design.

Ordering

Once you are happy with a proposed design and price quote we ask for your written authorisation to proceed along with payment of a 50% deposit.

Once a design is agreed in writing the sale is final and non-refundable.

Shipping

The garment you are sending to us is precious to you. You should ONLY ship items to us with a shipping provider that includes compensation against loss.

If your garment gets lost or damaged in transit to us you will be responsible for contacting the courier to resolve the issue. We will do the same when returning your mended garment to you.

The cost of shipping the garment back to you is FREE!.

Refunds

All visible mending carried out by The Mending Outpost is carried out to a bespoke design discussed and agreed with you in advance. Once a design is agreed in writing the sale is final and non-refundable.

It is important that you carefully review and consider designs before formally authorising go ahead with the visible mending project.
